Well whoopee...just when we thought the worst of Winter may be behind us...we get the Blizzard of 2007. The worst stupid storm of the year...and in at least a decade...in March!! Nebraska weather, I tell ya!! I did attempt...like an idiot...to go to work and got rear ended on the way there. No damage and no injuries thank goodness...but my arse turned right around and slid back home after that. No sense risking my life so that an insurance app may be processed a day quicker...HA!! Hubby also stayed home and was outside for more than 5 hours helping people shovel drives and sidewalks. His poor hands are so sore he can not even make a fist or grip anything!! The kids were of course out of school and driving me insane. It was one of those days where you wish you could have gone to work!
The snow is beautiful...sparkling and white...I'll have to take a pic when I get home and put it on here maybe. That is the only good thing about the snow...it is pretty...looking at it from a window inside of a warm house of course. The cat kept cautiously poking his nose out the door when I would open it...then a big gust of wind would smack him in the face and he would go running. Amazing that he started out as a feral field kitty...now he won't even venture outside...cuz' he's a scaredy cat.
I did make it to work today...uneventfully...but now there is double the work to do and no one here. I can't even start my calls until CST reaches 9am...I have no EST times on my list. So, here I sit talking to you all about a bunch of nothing I guess.
Anyhow...I guess I will get to work and talk to people all over the US that may or may not have better weather than myself. That is the best part about this job is talking to all of the different people. There really are some very cool people out there!!
